FACILITIES

The cottages are traditionally built and are warm and comfortable with hot water provided by solar power.

The larger cottage is ideal for families and groups and is about 50 metres from the main house. It is divided into two units with a communal front door.

Downstairs are two twin-bedded rooms, a bathroom, and a separate toilet. The sitting room has a wood burning stove and a small kitchen area for guests who prefer to do their own evening meals. There is a a washing machine, a drying cupboard and lots of storage space.

Upstairs there is an en-suite shower room. There is a room opposite which can sometimes be used as a sitting room.

The smaller cottage which is immediately adjacent to the main house, has proved popular with smaller families and couples. The bedroom has twin beds with two additional beds above. There is a play/sleeping area for children in the attic which is accessed by a ship’s ladder. The cottage has a sitting room with a convertible sofa/double bed and wood burning stove. It has a shower room, drying cupboard and washing machine. There are tea and coffee making facilities and a fridge.

MEALS

Our home cooking is appetising and plentiful. We provide cooked breakfasts, packed lunches, high teas for children and evening meals. We use local produce wherever possible. Meal times are kept fairly flexible to fit in with guests’ plans for the day.
