Campbell House is a detached stone-built house approx. 200 yrs old. Standing on the loch side, in the centre of the picturesque village of Shieldaig. All the rooms except the kitchen and bathroom, overlook loch Shieldaig and Shieldaig island. It is furnished to a high standard and comfortably accommodates up to five adults or a family of seven.

Kitchen adjoining equipped with electric cooker, refrigerator, washing machine, microwave & immersion heater. Back door leading to large rear garden.

Bedroom 1 Large room with both a double & single bed.

Bedroom 2 Single bedroom

Bedroom 3 Large bedroom with 3 single beds.

Bathroom with bath, electric shower and electrically heated towel rail. Water is heated by an immersion heater located in cupboard by back door. The electricity meter is located on landing taking £1 coins which is economically set.

THE HOUSE IS COMFORTABLE AND VERY WELL EQUIPPED (EXCEPT FOR BED LINEN & TOWELS)

There is a large garden behind the house running up the hillside.

Cars can be parked in parking area opposite house.

A cot and high chair are also available.

Shieldaig lies between Torridon and its ancient mountains and the Applecross peninsula in the Shieldaig from the Applecross Roadmidst of magnificent mountain and coastal scenery. It is an ideal centre for hill walking, climbing, boating, fishing and touring. There are impressive mountains to climb and interesting places to visit. The renowned Inverewe Gardens are nor far away. Skye is a day trip away and there are plenty of beautiful walks around Shieldaig itself.

There is a hotel (Tigh an Eilean) just along the road from Campbell House which has a welcoming bar that serves bar meals and an excellent restaurant.

There are other good places to eat, catering for all tastes, in Torridon, Lochcarron, Strathcarron, Applecross and Kishorn – all just a ‘scenic drive’away. There are also two general stores in the village and other shops in Lochcarron.

Rental 2000:

Low Season: April to week commencing 22nd May and from 4th Sept. onwards £275 per week

Mid Season: Week commencing 29th May to week commencing 26th June £295 per week

High Season: Week commencing 3rd July to week commencing 28th August £325 per week

Campbell House is available from 4pm on Saturday & must be vacated by 10am on the Saturday of departure.

A deposit of £50 is required to secure a booking & the balance is to be paid in full 4 weeks prior to arrival.
